Mastava

1 onion
3 tomatoes
2 carrots
2 capsicum
2 potatoes
6 cloves garlic
1 chili pepper
200 g rice
100 g sunflower oil
salt
pepper
cumin
crushed coriander seeds
tomato paste
parsley
dill
fresh basil
plain yogurt

Chop all ingredients into small pieces.

Heat 100 g of sunflower oil in a Kazan.

Add 700 g of beef, salt, pepper, cumin, and crushed coriander seeds to the hot oil and cook for 10-15 minutes until the meat is golden brown.

Add 1 chopped onion and 6 cloves of minced garlic to the meat and cook for another 5-10 minutes.

Stir in 1 teaspoon of tomato paste and then add 3 chopped tomatoes, cooking for another 5-10 minutes.

Add 2 chopped carrots and 2 chopped capsicum, mixing well and cooking for another 5-10 minutes.

Add 2 chopped potatoes and mix well.

Season with salt to taste and add plain cold water until it starts boiling.

Once boiling, add 1 chili pepper and boil the soup for 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes, wash 200 g of rice 5-6 times until the water is clear, then add the rice to the soup.

Cook for another 15 minutes until the rice is cooked.

Prepare a yogurt mixture with plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to serve with the soup.
