Pat dry the washed chicken thighs with a paper towel.

Make two cuts in the thighs with a sharp knife and set aside.

In a big dish, combine lemon juice, cooking oil, yogurt, ketchup, garlic powder, salt, paprika, chicken stock powder, black pepper, thyme, mustard, ginger powder, spring onion, and chili flakes. Mix well.

Scoop out 2 tablespoons of the marinade to be used for basting later and set aside.
