Start by rinsing 1 cup of rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of ground meat with 1 finely chopped onion, spices, and herbs of your choice.

Add the rinsed rice to the meat mixture and mix thoroughly until well combined.

Prepare the vine leaves by blanching them in boiling water for 2 minutes until softened.

Take a vine leaf, place a spoonful of the meat and rice mixture onto it, fold the sides over, and roll it tightly from the stem end.

Repeat the rolling process with the remaining vine leaves and filling until all are done.

In a large pot, layer the rolls and add sliced tomatoes and bell peppers on top.

Pour enough water into the pot to cover the rolls completely and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, check if the meat is fully cooked and the rice is tender before serving.
