Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
  2. 2Gradually add warm water to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. 3Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. 4Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5In another bowl, mix the ground pork, green onions, chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, white pepper, and black pepper until well combined.
  6. 6Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small pieces (about 12).
  7. 7Roll each piece into a circle about 3 inches in diameter.
  8. 8Place a spoonful of the pork filling in the center of each dough circle and pleat the edges to seal.
  9. 9Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Place the buns seam-side down in the skillet.
