Boil water in a kettle until bubbling.

Set aside some boiling water in a kettle for later use.

Gradually add maize flour to the boiling water little by little while stirring.

If the mixture becomes too thick, add some of the reserved boiling water to achieve the desired consistency.

Once mixed, form the mixture into a solid ball.

Wrap the mixture in banana leaves for steaming.

Steam the wrapped mixture for about two hours before serving.
