2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Add bay leaf, hot pepper, cinnamon stick, clove powder, spice powder, celery, tomato, onion, garlic, thyme, parsley, salt, and white sugar to the pot.

Cover the pot and bring everything to a boil for about 2 minutes.

Lower the heat and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes to soften the sorrel flowers.

Remove the bay leaf and cinnamon stick from the mixture before blending.

Blend the mixture until smooth, covering the blender with a cloth to prevent pressure build-up from the heat.

Add cornstarch to the blended mixture and blend again to thicken.
