Chop all fruits and nuts that are not pre-chopped, including Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, figs, and prunes.
Melt the butter slightly near the stove.
Mix the melted butter with sugar and a pinch of salt.
Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl and pour them into the butter-sugar mixture, then mix well.
Add the chopped fruits and nuts to the mixture in any order, ensuring everything is mixed well.
Mix cinnamon, ground cloves, and baking powder with the flour, then add the flour mixture to the fruit and nut mixture.
If desired, add a bit of brandy or rum for taste.
Spoon the batter onto a baking tray lined with baking paper, making heaps the size of a small fist.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, or until they can be easily lifted off the tray and the underside is slightly brown.
Let the cakes cool on a rack overnight.
