1

Welcome to Noia Cooking, I'm Magda. I'm going to share a good recipe that we learned in Italy.

2

Prepare the ingredients: Virginia ham, chicken thighs, 2 onions, a can of tomatoes, pepper, salt, and white wine.

3

Dry the chicken thighs and trim any excess fat if needed.

4

Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in an electric skillet over medium heat.

5

Add the chicken thighs to the skillet, placing the pretty side down first, and cook for about 3 minutes until colored.

6

Season the chicken with 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

7

Add 1 teaspoon of butter to the skillet and then add 2 finely chopped shallots, cooking for another 5 minutes.

8

Pour in 1/2 cup of white wine and allow it to evaporate for about 3 minutes.

9

Add the can of tomatoes and the sliced Virginia ham to the skillet.

10

Cover and cook everything slowly for about 30 minutes, adding a sprig of rosemary before covering.

11

After 30 minutes, check the chicken and sauce, and serve with homemade bread or pasta.
