Add brown sugar to the melted butter and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, salt, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
Cut out shapes using cookie cutters and place them on a baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Bake the cookies until they are firm and a toothpick comes out clean, approximately 10 minutes.
