Sri Lankan Bread Samosa

Cultural Context

Originating from Sri Lanka, Bread Samosas are a popular street food, often enjoyed as a snack or appetizer. They reflect the island's rich culinary heritage, blending spices and local ingredients. Traditionally, these samosas are made with a spiced potato filling, wrapped in bread instead of pastry, making them a unique twist on the classic Indian samosa. Today, they are enjoyed in various forms across South Asia and have found a place in global cuisine, appealing to those seeking flavorful vegetarian options.
