2 tablespoons of butter (26 g)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 large eggs
4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
4 teaspoons of dry yeast
150 ml of warm water
60 ml of water for syrup
1 teaspoon of sugar for syrup
2 cups of powdered sugar for glaze
45 ml of water for glaze
1 teaspoon of dark brown sugar for glaze
3 drops of lemon juice

Mix the unbleached flour, butter, salt, eggs, vanilla extract, dry yeast, and warm water in a bowl to form a dough.

Cover the dough and let it rest for one hour to prevent it from drying out.

After resting, shape the dough into small balls and let them rest for 10 minutes.

For the baked version, prepare a syrup by mixing 60 ml of water and 1 teaspoon of sugar, and brush it over the nuegados before baking.

Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the nuegados for 20 minutes.

Prepare the glaze by sifting 2 cups of powdered sugar and mixing it with 45 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of dark brown sugar, and 3 drops of lemon juice.

Once the nuegados are baked, add the glaze and let it dry.
