Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Take an aluminum pan for easy transport to the party.

Pour the lemon cream filling into the pan.

Dollop the cream cheese over the lemon filling as evenly as possible.

Sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the cream cheese, covering everything without stirring.

Place butter on top of the cake mix to help it brown.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

Check the cake after 40 minutes; it should come out dry except where the cream cheese is.

Let the cake cool slightly before serving.

Grate lemon zest and sprinkle it over the cooled cake.

Dust powdered sugar over the top of the cake.
