3 room temperature eggs
6 cups cake flour
2 tablespoons hot chocolate powder

egg white wash
black sesame seeds

butter

🥗Healthier: coconut oil

💰Cheaper: margarine

Coconut oil offers a dairy-free option while margarine is often less expensive.

sugar

🥗Healthier: honey

💰Cheaper: brown sugar

Honey can reduce refined sugar intake and brown sugar is usually cheaper.

1

Put 340 grams of unsalted butter in a bowl and add 1 to 1.5 cups of sugar, mixing until the mixture gets white and fluffy.

2

Beat 3 room temperature eggs and add them to the butter mixture little by little, blending until fluffy and heavy.

3

Add 6 cups of cake flour in three parts, blending well into the mixture.

4

Separate the cookie dough into three equal pieces.

5

For the brown dough, add 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate powder and lightly knead to blend.

6

For the green dough, add 3 teaspoons of green tea powder and knead lightly to blend.

7

Separate the brown dough in half and form a rectangle, wrapping it in plastic wrap.

8

Flatten about 2/3 of the brown dough with a rolling pin to make a thin square.

9

Take the white dough and roll it into a cylinder the same length as the square, placing it on top of the brown dough and rolling it up, removing excess dough and wrapping it in plastic wrap.

10

Take half of the remaining brown dough and make two thin cylinders, wrapping them in plastic wrap.

11

Repeat the process for the green dough.

12

Flatten all of the remaining white dough with a rolling pin to make a thin square and cover with plastic wrap.

13

Flatten the remaining brown dough to make a smaller square and cover with plastic wrap.

14

Combine all leftover dough to form a cylinder and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.

15

Cut the rectangle dough into four equal stripes after chilling.

16

Place a stripe of white dough next to a stripe of brown dough and brush with egg white wash to stick together, stacking them alternately and wrapping in plastic wrap to rest in the fridge for another hour.

17

Brush egg white wash on the white square dough and attach the brown square dough, rolling from the bottom and wrapping to rest in the fridge for another hour.

18

Press egg white wash on top of the brown seal in the dough and attach two brown cylinders to make bear ears, wrapping and resting in the fridge for another hour.

19

Repeat the process for the green dough.

20

Slice the dough into about 5 millimeter to 1 centimeter thick cookies after chilling.

21

Place parchment paper on the baking pan and place the cookies on it, attaching two black sesame seeds for eyes and one for the nose, and using a toothpick to curve a shallow line for the mouth.

22

Preheat the oven to 370°F (188°C) and bake the cookies for 10 to 15 minutes.

23

Wait 3 to 5 minutes to remove cookies from the baking sheet and cool on a cookie rack.
