Preheat frying pan with sunflower oil.
Lightly dip slices of dark rye bread in water before adding to the frying pan.
Place the moistened bread slices in the frying pan and fry gently on one side for a few minutes until golden brown.
Flip the bread slices and add a little more oil if necessary.
Fry the second side for another 2-3 minutes until browned.
Once browned, place the bread on a chopping board or paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Rub peeled garlic cloves over both sides of the warm bread, or crush garlic and spread it on if preferred.
Sprinkle fine sea salt or Himalayan salt on top of the garlic bread.
