Turkish Style Chicken, or Tavuk Şiş, has roots in traditional Turkish cuisine, often enjoyed at gatherings and celebrations. This dish highlights the importance of marinating meat to enhance flavor and tenderness, a practice common in many Mediterranean cultures. Today, it has gained popularity worldwide, often served in restaurants and at barbecues, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Turkey.

In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons yogurt and 2 tablespoons tomato paste.
Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon white vinegar, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Season with salt to taste and add 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1 teaspoon black pepper.
Add 1 teaspoon chicken powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon ginger powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, and 1 teaspoon oregano.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Add 500 grams of chicken cut into 2-inch pieces and mix again.
Cover and marinate for about 1 hour.
In a pan, melt 1.5 tablespoons unsalted butter over low heat.
Add 1 cup milk to the butter and cook until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
In another pan, heat oil and add the marinated chicken.
Cook on high flame for 1-2 minutes to avoid excess water release.
Flip the chicken and cook for another minute on high flame.
Cover and cook on medium flame for 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and water is released.
Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a smaller pan and dry out the excess water on high flame.
Pour the prepared white sauce over the chicken and add 140 grams of grated mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts.
