Variations have emerged globally, with each region putting its unique twist on this crispy delight.

Place 250 grams of plain all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl.
Add dried yeast following the instructions on the pack.
Add half a teaspoon of unrefined sugar.
Add one teaspoon of sea salt.
Add two tablespoons of light olive oil.
Add two tablespoons of sour cream.
Add 100 milliliters of milk.
Knead the dough with a wooden spoon or in a mixer until smooth.
Leave the dough to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
Peel a few cloves of garlic and put the garlic through a garlic press.
Mix the garlic with olive oil and a bit of salt.
Once the dough has doubled in size, divide it into smaller parts and form flatbreads.
Stretch each piece of dough using your hands, making the edges thicker than the middle.
Fry each piece of dough in a pan with hot oil until the edges turn golden brown, then fry the other side.
Once the bread is fried from both sides, add garlic, ketchup, and grated cheese or toppings of your choice.
