1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.

In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).

Using a piping bag or a spoon, carefully drop small amounts of batter into the hot oil, forming mini donuts.

Fry the donuts for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on paper towels.

While still warm, dust the donuts with powdered sugar.
