Cultural Context

Brioche is a rich, buttery bread that originated in France, often enjoyed for breakfast or as a dessert. Its soft texture and slightly sweet flavor make it a versatile choice for various occasions, from casual meals to festive gatherings. The dough is enriched with eggs and butter, resulting in a luxurious bread that can be shaped into loaves or rolls. Brioche has a long history, dating back to the 15th century, and remains a staple in French bakeries today.
