1

Welcome to Slider Sunday, today we're making turkey burger sliders.

2

Add 1 pound of ground turkey to a bowl.

3

Add 1 teaspoon of curry powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the turkey.

4

Crack 1 egg into the mixture and add 2 tablespoons of panko breadcrumbs.

5

Pour in warm heavy cream to create a pinade, mixing until absorbed.

6

Set the turkey mixture aside and roast a pablano pepper over an open flame until charred.

7

If no open flame, use a gas stove or broiler to char the pepper.

8

Place the charred pablano in a plastic bag to steam for 5 minutes.

9

While the pepper steams, thinly slice 1 jalapeno and 2 green onions, adding them to the turkey mixture.

10

Mix the turkey mixture with your hands, wetting your hands to prevent sticking.

11

Shape the mixture into 2 oz patties.

12

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil.

13

Place the patties in the pan, pressing them down slightly, and cook for about 5 minutes on one side before flipping.

14

While the patties cook, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, pesto, and the juice of half a lemon in a bowl.

15

Remove the pablano from the bag, rinse off the charred skin and seeds, and chop it up.

16

Add the chopped pablano to the sauce mixture along with optional chipotle peppers in adobo for heat.

17

Blend the sauce until smooth, adding salt and more lemon juice to taste.

18

Check the turkey patties, ensuring they are cooked through, then cover them and add cheese on top to melt.

19

Grab the Kings Hawaiian slider buns and prepare to assemble the sliders.
