Cover the Yuka with water in a pot.

Add a little bit of salt to the water and the juice of half a lime.

Cook the Yuka on medium high for about 30 minutes until fork tender.

Remove the center fiber from the Yuka after cooking.

In a pan, add 3/4 cup of olive oil and heat it.

Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté for a little bit (doesn't need to be fully cooked).

Mash 7 cloves of garlic with a little salt and add to the pan.

Squeeze the juice of a whole lime into the pan and sauté for about 2 minutes.

Add the cooked Yuka directly into the pan and coat it with the sauce, frying for about 2-3 minutes.

Serve the Yuka on a plate and optionally add chichon for crunch and flavor.
