Pour the simple syrup into a separate container and let it cool completely.

Store the cooled simple syrup in the fridge.

Squeeze the lemons (or limes) to extract juice.

Tip: Microwave the lemons for about 10 seconds before squeezing to get more juice.

Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher, using a sieve to catch any pulp or seeds.

Add the chilled simple syrup to the lemon juice in the pitcher.

Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well.

Cover the pitcher and store it in the fridge until ready to serve.
