HOW TO MAKE COCONUT MILK WITHOUT FRESH COCONUT

Pour boiling hot water over the desiccated coconut and let it steep for around an hour.

Get a blender (a Nutribullet can also be used) and add the steeped coconut mixture.

Blend until completely smooth, ensuring every last bit is included.

Take some muslin, a clean sock, or clean tights and place it over a jug.

Pour the blended mixture into the muslin and let it drape through the jug.

Squeeze the muslin to extract the coconut milk, continuing until no more liquid comes through.

Show the remaining pulp and mention it can be used to bulk up cookies or as coconut flour.

Pour out some of the coconut milk to show its thickness and creaminess.

Mention that the coconut milk will last up to two days in the fridge without preservatives.
