Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2Grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. 3In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. 4Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. 5In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. 6Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. 7Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan and spread it evenly.
  8. 8Arrange the sliced plums on top of the batter, pressing them in slightly.
  9. 9Sprinkle the ground cinnamon and brown sugar over the plums.
