Bottled lemon juice is more accessible.

Add 1/4 cup of sugar to 6 cups of water in a pitcher and let it dissolve.

Reserve 1 1/2 cups of water to use in the blender.

Slice the cantaloupe in half and scoop out the seeds.

Cut the cantaloupe into chunks, avoiding the green parts.

Add the reserved water to the blender with the cantaloupe chunks.

Blend starting on chop and moving up to liquefied until well blended.

Pour the blended cantaloupe mixture into the pitcher with the sugared water.

Stir to combine and dissolve the sugar completely.

Serve over ice in glasses.
