Add the cold buttermilk to the mixture and mix until combined.

Press the dough out to about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
Use a biscuit cutter dipped in flour to cut out the biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.
Brush the tops of the biscuits with a beaten egg wash for a golden color.
Place the biscuits in a preheated oven at 400°F and bake until they have a nice dark color and crust.
Let the biscuits cool on the tray before serving.
