Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, chopped onions, red pepper flakes, 1 egg, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, garlic powder, black pepper, fresh parsley, fresh oregano, salt, breadcrumbs, and paprika.
Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
Using an ice cream scoop, form the mixture into small round balls.
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
While the meatballs are baking, heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onions to the skillet and cook until translucent.
Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to the skillet, then add minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
Stir everything together and let the sauce simmer until the meatballs are ready.
After 20 minutes, transfer the baked meatballs into the sauce and mix gently.
Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve the meatballs in a bowl with the sauce.
