Add whole Oreos to a food processor and process until they become crumbs.
Add melted butter to the Oreo crumbs and process until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and place it in the fridge.
In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, add cream cheese and mix on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes until smooth.
Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure no cream cheese is hiding.
Add sugar, vanilla extract, and peanut butter to the cream cheese and mix until well combined.
Add heavy cream to the mixture and mix until smooth and combined.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined after each addition, leaving some small bits of egg visible.
Chop mini peanut butter cups and fold them into the cheesecake batter with a spatula.
Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared springform pan and smooth the top.
Place the springform pan on a baking sheet to catch any spills and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
Refrigerate the cheesecake overnight for better structure and flavor, or at least for 4 hours.
To make the chocolate ganache, add chocolate chips to a bowl and pour hot cream over them, allowing it to sit for a few minutes.
Whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth, adding a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
Let the ganache cool slightly before pouring it over the cheesecake, spreading it with a spatula.
Top the cheesecake with additional mini peanut butter cups.
