Pulled Pork Sliders

3 cups shredded pulled pork
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
12 Hawaiian rolls
1/2 cup melted butter
8 oz can sliced pineapples
red onion (to taste)
pepper jack cheese (or cheese of choice)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Start with 3 cups of leftover pulled pork or store-bought shredded pork.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Prepare a sheet pan by covering it with foil to prevent sticking.

Cut the 12 Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, removing only the top half.

In a bowl, mix the pulled pork with 3/4 cup of barbecue sauce until well combined.

Warm the pulled pork mixture if it's cold, to avoid serving cold pork.

Brush the bottom half of the buns with a little melted butter.

Spread the pulled pork mixture evenly over the bottom half of the buns.

Slice the canned pineapple into quarters and lay them over the pulled pork.

Add red onion on top of the pineapple, to taste.

Sprinkle pepper jack cheese (or cheese of choice) over the top.

Place the top half of the buns back on.

Mix the remaining melted butter with 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of garlic salt, and 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce (if using).

Brush the butter mixture over the top of the buns.

Cover the sliders loosely with foil and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to crisp the buns.

After baking, brush the remaining butter on top of the sliders before serving.

Cut the sliders into individual pieces and serve on a tray, optionally adding toothpicks to keep the tops from falling off.

Optionally add coleslaw on top before serving.
