1

Welcome to cooking lessons for Dad, today we're making chocolate covered apricots.

2

You only need two ingredients: dried apricots and chocolate. You can use any kind of chocolate you like, such as dark chocolate chunks or chocolate melts for a smoother finish.

3

Put your chocolate in a microwave-safe cup or dish and microwave for 1 minute.

4

Stir the chocolate after 1 minute. If it's not melted, continue microwaving in 30-second increments until smooth and creamy.

5

Grab the dried apricots and dip them about 3/4 of the way down into the melted chocolate, letting the excess chocolate drizzle off.

6

While the chocolate is still wet, add toppings of your choice, such as coconut and chopped walnuts. You can also add sprinkles for kids.

7

You can make as many chocolate covered apricots as you have chocolate and apricots. If you run out of chocolate, you can melt more.

8

Let the chocolate covered apricots air dry at room temperature for a couple of hours until the chocolate hardens.

9

Once the chocolate is hard, you can double dip the apricots in white chocolate if desired, leaving some of the dark chocolate showing.

10

After double dipping, you can add more toppings if you like.

11

Place the finished chocolate covered apricots on a plate and they are ready to serve.
