Colocar la habichuela romana en una olla grande.
Agregar media cebolla, dos dientes de ajo, y un chorro de aceite.
Añadir agua hasta que la olla esté un poco más de la mitad.
Tapar la olla y cocinar.
Es preferible dejar la habichuela en reposo en agua de un día para otro, pero no es necesario.
Después de una hora, agregar un pedazo de aama.
Tapar y dejar cocinar por 15 minutos.
Majar media cucharadita de orégano, un cuarto de cucharada de pimienta, tres dientes de ajo, y media cucharadita de sal.
Combinar el majado con los otros ingredientes.
En un caldero caliente, agregar aceite y cebolla.
Agregar el sazón que se majó, dos cucharadas de sofrito, y un sobrecito de sazón.
Añadir salsa de tomate al gusto o pasta de tomate.
Sofreír por 2 minutos.
Añadir las habichuelas cocidas junto con el sofrito.
Licuar el pedazo de yama y agregarlo a la habichuela.
Agregar un poco de cilantro y un poco de ahí.
Mezclar todos los ingredientes y dejar cocinar por 15 minutos en fuego bajito.
Agregar media cucharadita de azúcar (opcional).
