Prepare a sheet pan lined with wax paper.
Gather ingredients: grapes, strawberries, sugar, corn syrup, and toothpicks.
In a pot (recommended) or skillet, combine sugar and corn syrup.
Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature, aiming for 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the mixture reaches about 290 degrees, begin dipping the grapes and strawberries.
Insert toothpicks into the grapes and strawberries to make dipping easier and to avoid burns.
Dip the grapes and strawberries into the sugar mixture, ensuring they are coated.
If desired, experiment by dipping some in jello mix for added flavor.
Continue dipping until all fruit is coated, working quickly to prevent the candy from hardening.
Place the dipped fruit onto the prepared wax paper to cool.
