Stretch, pull, and roll the dough while maintaining thicker edges; holes in the dough are acceptable and add crunch when fried.

Heat about 1 inch of Crisco in a pan for frying the dough.

Carefully place the formed dough into the hot Crisco, turning it as it cooks to ensure even frying.

Fry until the bread is golden brown, then flip it over to cook the other side.
