Nancy Silverton's Chopped Salad

In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and bell pepper.

Add the feta cheese and olives to the bowl.

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.

Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients in the large bowl.

Toss the salad gently to combine all ingredients and coat them with the dressing.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper as desired.

Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to an hour before serving for a chilled salad.
