Add a whole onion to the instant pot without chopping.
Add soaked great northern beans to the instant pot.
Pour in approximately 6 cups of water.
Add about 2 teaspoons of salt to the pot.
Close the lid of the instant pot and select the meat stew button for 30 minutes.
After cooking, allow the instant pot to cool down for about 20 minutes.
Remove the onion from the pot after cooking is complete.
Add about 2 tablespoons of ghee to a pan and heat it up.
Finely chop another onion and add it to the ghee.
Sauté the onions until translucent.
Add about 2 tablespoons of paprika to the sautéed onions and heat to release flavors.
Pour the sautéed onion and paprika mixture into the instant pot with the beans and meat.
Stir the mixture and set the instant pot to simmer for about 5 minutes.
