Get a bowl and dump in 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
Add 1 cup of finely diced pecans (preferably toasted).
Dump in 3 tbsp of sugar.
Add 1 stick of room temperature butter and 1 tsp of vanilla.
Mix everything up by hand until it starts to hold together.
Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet or parchment paper lined sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until set but not browned.
Let the cookies cool on the sheet for about a minute.
Roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar once, then let them cool completely for 20 to 25 minutes.
Roll them in powdered sugar a second time before serving.
