Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place 1 stick of butter in an 8x8 baking pan and put it in the oven to melt.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup self-rising flour, 1 cup 2% milk, and 1 teaspoon baking powder. If not using self-rising flour, add a teaspoon of baking soda instead.
Add a splash of vanilla extract to the mixture.
Mix until smooth to create the cobbler crust.
Check the butter in the oven to ensure it is melted.
Once melted, remove the pan from the oven and pour the flour, sugar, and milk mixture over the melted butter without stirring.
Add 2 cups of frozen triple berry over the top of the batter.
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar lightly over the fruit.
Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown, checking after 20 minutes to prevent over-browning.
Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
