2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Spray measuring container with olive oil spray to help honey pour out easily.

Measure and pour 1/2 cup of honey into a small saucepan.

Add 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar to the honey in the saucepan.

Add 2 teaspoons of crushed red pepper flakes to the mixture.

Add 1 teaspoon of dried thyme to the saucepan.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika to the mixture.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt to the saucepan.

Turn the heat to medium (about 6) and stir to combine ingredients.

Bring the mixture to a low boil while stirring to prevent sticking.

Once a low boil is reached (after about 2 minutes), turn off the heat and stir again.

Let the mixture sit off the heat for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.

Transfer the hot honey to a glass jar, straining out the solids if desired.

Allow the hot honey to cool completely before sealing the jar.

Store the hot honey on the countertop for about 3 months.
