Stir the mixture until the crumbs and coconut are moistened.
Add 1 cup of M&M's to the mixture and stir to combine.
Spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick spray and press the crust mixture into the plate, ensuring there are no gaps or holes.
Switch to a deep dish pie plate for more room after realizing the mixture is too much for the 9-inch plate.
Press the crust firmly into the deep dish pie plate and ensure it is evenly spread and compacted.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, checking to avoid burning the coconut.
Let the crust cool on the counter, then refrigerate to firm up.
Prepare the filling by adding the 3 oz package of orange Jell-O to a bowl.
Add 1 cup of boiling water to the Jell-O and whisk until dissolved.
Stir in 3/4 cup of orange juice into the dissolved Jell-O mixture.
Place the mixture in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to cool before adding to the crust.
