Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a baking pan.
  2. 2Melt butter in a mixing bowl and stir in sugar and brown sugar until combined.
  3. 3Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. 4Stir in vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. 5Sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  6. 6Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

  • 400g firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 2-3 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Press the tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Toss the tofu cubes in the mixture until evenly coated.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. 5Add the sliced green chilies and stir-fry for another minute.
  6. 6In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Pour this sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer.
  7. 7Add the crispy tofu back into the pan, tossing to coat it in the sauce.
  8. 8Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. 9Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
