1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2.5 to 3 cups vegetable broth
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste

Add 1 pound of Beyond beef and cook for about 8-10 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks.

Add dry seasonings: 2 tablespoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika; combine and cook with the plant-based meat.

Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and mix well.

Add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and combine; cook for about a minute to develop a crust at the bottom of the pan.

Pour in 2.5 to 3 cups of vegetable broth, scraping up the crust from the bottom of the pot.

Allow the sauce to thicken, then add the drained kidney beans and 2 teaspoons of hot sauce; combine.

Cover with a lid, lower the heat, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
