1 tbsp lemon juice

2 cups basmati rice
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 large onion
1 small sized carrot
1 tomato
1/2 capsicum
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp ghee
1 chicken stock cube
4 cups boiling water

Marinate 500 gm chicken breast with 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and salt to taste. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

Wash 2 cups basmati rice.

Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.

Fry the marinated chicken until cooked, then remove from the pan.

Add 1 more tbsp of oil to the pan.

Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and stir for a minute.

Add 1 large onion and sauté until translucent.

Add 1 small sized carrot and stir for a minute.

Add 1 tomato, cover, and cook for 3 minutes.

Add 1/2 of a capsicum, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, and salt as needed.

Stir in the fried chicken and some coriander leaves, then cook covered for 3 minutes and remove from the pan.

Heat 2 tbsp ghee and 1 tbsp oil in the pan.

Add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, and cumin seeds.

Add the drained rice and half of the lemon juice, then fry for 2 minutes.

Pour in 4 cups of boiling water and add salt to taste.

Cook on high flame until the water almost evaporates, then cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

Stir in the chicken on high flame.
