Welcome back to my kitchen; today we are making Jamaican veggie patties.

Gather your ingredients: sifted flour, mixed vegetables (carrot, cabbage, bell pepper, onion), salt, and turmeric.

In a bowl, mix the sifted flour, a little salt, and turmeric (add depending on desired color).

Cut the butter into small pieces and mix it into the flour mixture until it resembles a crumbly texture.

Add water gradually to the mixture, using a spoon to combine until it forms a dough.

Roll the dough into a ball shape, wrap it in cling wrap, and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

While the dough chills, heat a pan over medium to high temperature and add chopped onion.

Add garlic and ginger paste to the pan, allowing it to soften without burning.

Add minced scotch bonnet pepper (optional) and mixed vegetables (carrot, cabbage, bell pepper) to the pan.
