5-6 medium onion, sliced
2 cups refined flour (maida)
¼ cup milk powder
1½ tsps salt
2 tsps instant yeast
2 tbsps butter
1 egg
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tbsps coconut oil
8-10 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
10-12 curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp red chilli flakes
½ tsp cloves powder
½ tsp cinnamon powder
2 tsps tamarind paste
2 tbsps sugar

Take refined flour in a large bowl, add milk powder, salt, instant dry yeast, butter and mix.

Make well in a center and break egg, mix well. Add lukewarm water and knead into soft dough and cover with damp muslin cloth and set aside for an hour.

Heat coconut oil in a pan, add garlic, curry leaves and sauté for a minute. Add onion and cook till golden brown on a medium heat.

Add salt, red chilli powder, red chilli flakes, cloves powder, cinnamon powder, tamarind paste and mix well, add ¼ cup water and mix.

Add sugar and sauté for 2-3 minutes on a medium, take the pan off the heat and transfer the mixture in a bowl and allow to cool completely.

Knead back the dough and divide into 6-8 portions and shape it into balls. Roll out each portion into a disc.

Brush egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes.
