Homemade marshmallows can be made with less sugar.

Melt butter in a frying pan over low heat.

Add 10 marshmallows to the melted butter and wait for them to start melting.

Once marshmallows are almost melted and golden brown, add 3 drops of green food coloring and remove from heat.

Add Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture, adjusting the amount based on experience.

Mix the Rice Krispies into the marshmallow until well combined.

Scoop out portions of the mixture and flatten them into wreath shapes using a knife or fingers.

Mold the wreaths to improve their shape.

Place cinnamon red hot candies on each wreath, about 3 candies per wreath.

Finish making all wreaths and display them.
