2 and 2 thirds cups sugar
1 and 1 third cups evaporated milk
10 tablespoons melted butter
0.75 cups chocolate chips
1.5 teaspoons vanilla essence

In a bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Mix together.

In another bowl, combine 227 grams of butter (2 sticks) and 2 cups of sugar. Mix until creamy.

Add 5 large eggs to the butter and sugar mixture one at a time while mixing.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

In a separate bowl, combine 0.5 cups of water, 1 cup of evaporated milk, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Add this mixture bit by bit to the butter mixture while mixing.

Once mixed, pour the batter into the baking dishes, using 2 thirds of a cup of batter for each dish.

Bake the cakes in the oven for 12 to 14 minutes, setting a timer for 10 minutes.

In a new bowl, combine 2 and 2 thirds cups of sugar and 1 and 1 third cups of evaporated milk. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves.

Add 10 tablespoons of melted butter and 0.75 cups of chocolate chips to the sugar mixture and return to heat until melted.

Stir in 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla essence and let the icing cool for 10 to 15 minutes.

Once the cakes are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool.

Spread a bit of icing on the base of the cake to prevent slipping, then layer the cakes with icing in between each layer.

Continue stacking and icing the layers until all are assembled and iced on the outside.
