2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Place 5 cups of peeled and chopped tart apples in a large bowl.

Add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup dark raisins, and 1/2 cup chopped pecans to the apples and stir.

Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, add 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, and 1 beaten egg, then stir to combine.
