Fill the mocha pot with hot water up to the pressure release valve.

Load the filter with espresso ground coffee, heaping it up without tamping it down.

Screw the lid on the mocha pot and place it on high heat.

Prepare sugar in a mug, adding about 3 tablespoons (to taste).

Once the first drops of coffee come through, add the coffee to the sugar and whip with a spoon until it reaches a frothy consistency.

Put the mocha pot back on the heat to finish brewing.

Once brewing is done, gently stir the coffee into the sugar mixture.
