85% lean, 15% fat ground beef
5 garlic cloves
1 cup diced white onions
1/2 green bell pepper
1/4 red bell pepper
12 oz tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3/4 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon molasses
sea salt
black pepper

Brown the ground beef on high heat, breaking it up until fully cooked, then drain.

Add the cooked ground beef back to the skillet.

Add the diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and set heat to medium high, cooking for 2 to 3 minutes until onions are translucent.

Make a well in the center of the mixture and add minced garlic, cooking for 30 to 45 seconds.

Combine all ingredients in the skillet.

Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and smoked paprika to the meat mixture and stir well.

Add 12 oz of tomato sauce to the skillet, stirring to prevent burning.

Reduce heat to low and add 1/4 cup ketchup, 3/4 teaspoon mustard, and 1/2 teaspoon molasses, stirring to combine.

Cover and simmer on medium low for 10 minutes, then check and simmer for an additional 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes.
