Baked Ham

8 pounds spiral sliced ham
1 can pineapple slices in heavy syrup
1 jar maraschino cherries
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)

Prepare a bowl and pour in the juice from the can of pineapple slices.

Add maraschino cherry juice to the bowl with the pineapple juice.

Add approximately 2 cups of brown sugar to the bowl and stir until well combined, tasting to adjust sweetness as desired.

Place the ham in a baking pan and pour the prepared juice mixture over the ham, ensuring it covers the entire ham and seeps between the slices.

Marinate the ham for 24 hours, basting with the juice from the pan occasionally.

The next day, uncover the ham and place pineapple slices and cherries on top, securing them with toothpicks.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
