200 g green beans
3 medium potatoes
50 g butter
50 g Genoese pesto
salt to taste

Prepare the ingredients: 200 g of pasta (fusilli or trofie), 200 g of green beans, and 3 medium potatoes.

Prepare the Genoese pesto or buy it from the store.

Salt the water in a large pot and bring it to a boil.

Once the water is boiling, add the chopped potatoes and green beans. If using fresh green beans, cook them for a few minutes before adding the potatoes.

Wait until the water boils again, then add the pasta.

Cook the pasta for the time indicated on the package (12 minutes for fusilli), which is enough time for the potatoes and green beans to cook as well.

When the pasta is cooked, drain the water but reserve a little cooking water to make the pasta creamy.

In the same pan where the pasta was cooked, add a piece of butter and pour the drained pasta on top to melt the butter.

Add the pre-prepared pesto sauce and mix well, adding reserved cooking water as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.

Serve the pasta with additional Parmigiano cheese to taste.
